Bass tubes

Has anyone thought about using bass tubes (Bazooka or Pyle etc) I know that maybe those names aren't the best in car audio but it seems that with the Fit you might be able to work those in nicely without losing cargo space? ANy thoughts...

I've had two, in as many cars; one powered, one not. They are very nice for what they are. Now I'm no audiophile, but they provide a very good response w/ no distortion. I loved the fact that they were out in less than a minuted if needed, but very secure while in.

They are very effecient and nice sounding speakers for the money. I always throw one in my parents'/siblings' cars because it's an easy, affordable upgrade.

A coworker of mine has one of these http://www.crutchfield.com/S-aQG2xH7...0&I=037ATB10AT

It is an audiobahn and it sounds really good. I am thinking of getting one myself. I would stay away from Bazooka tubes... This one however does look and sound great.

I have used Bazooka tubes for years... How can you say stay away from Bazooka (years of positive reputation), but recommend Audiobahn? That stuff is junk.

Sorry for voicing my opinion. I was just talking to some of the guys at circuit city (who sell the bazooka) and they said I wouldn't be happy with them. I heard my buddies Audiobahn and it sounded great. It also has a flat bottom and with a little ingenuity and Velcro tape I think it will fit nicely in the back of my FIT. Why do you think audibahn is junk? Just curious...you know before I buy...

I know it looks pretty, but Audiobahn is all China manufactured components. Unless things have changed since last time I checked. Don't get me wrong, it may sound fine... but I didn't like the fact that Bazooka was shot down.

I know the guys at SAS personally, and I know they put alot of engineering behind their designs. That's why they win so many Innovative awards. I believe they have 3-4 of them.

The Bazooka is never going to be as good as a sealed enclosure with a high end speaker, with the wattage to drive it. However, they are very efficient. They don't require much power to sound good.

I personally would not use anything made by Audiobahn. Bazooka is as cheap as I go personally for bass.

This is just my opinion. A good installer could make radio shack stuff sound great.

PS - didn't mean to offend you. Never apologize for voicing your opinion.

I just purchased the audiobahn ATB10AT from crutchfield.com and it's soo amazing. it sounds crisp and has excellent bass. It sounds like you have 2 10's in the trunk. Its awsome cuz you have a gain controller in the front. It fits perfectly in the trunk and everything comes in the box ready to install! I am acually doing a writeup on how 2 install this powered sub in the FIT. I should be done within the next couple of days so look out for that.
