At last Finish upgrading sound system
i'm happy so gonna make a little story :-)
Well today i finish installing y radio.
Couple of month ago i decided to upgraded my Speakers, i installed 4 Pioneer ts-a6985r, 4 way speakers, I keep the factory tweeter, those do their job pretty well. So it was not a easy install as you might all know. i had problem at first with the radio cutting the power to the speakers, sometime it would not work for days. But when it was working, it was a good upgraded.
But the factory radio could not keep up with the speakers, i'm not a super high volume guy, my ears a really important to me, but i listen to the radio at 10-16 on the stock stereo volume scale. and past 12 the bass wasn't able to keep up. and since there no equalizer. nothing you can do about it. the best sound was when i use My samsung GSIII with Poweramp. i used the 10 band equalizer in poweramp.
so last week i decide to buy a new stereo, a Sony wx-gt90bt. look good sound good and i paid 150$ for it ( yeah on sale! here normal price is 199) got a 7 band equalizer, Blutooh, Usb port, a remote, a android app, sirius pandora etc etc, millions of colors etc. AND the good side is that radio helped me find my grounded speaker. the stock radio was cutting the sound to ALL speaker when the grounding happened. But the sony cut it only to the speakers that is grounding, so i had only 1 door panel to remove. it was the metal connector of the speaker touching the door somehow. nothing electrical tape cannot repair. Ah i also put some dynamat Extreme sheet around the speaker, and behind it ( inside the door) that also did a good difference. less nasty vibration.
Only problem i have is the Car interior Wormhole swallowed 4 of the freaking metal clip,( they probably floating in outer space) i lost the big one that go on the side and 3 small ones. ( there is 7 of those ? ) i found some parts number in here but anybody can confirm this? cause right now the radio is not really sturdy, the stock rwx-gt90btadio was also hold by to screw that you cannot put back on the Metra kit (other than that, it fit really well and the finish is perfect) so only the clip hold it in place, that the only downside to it.
