I used home dec fabric I got from my local fabric shop, nice heavy stuff that you would refinish a chair with. A wooden dowel and a couple of clips and D-rings and some plasticore that I use at work to make signs with so the front part is stiff. It doesn't roll up like the Honda ones but who needs a window shade in the back of your car anyways. Here's some pics.

Nope not tweed. It's an upholstery material like you would use on a chair or couch.
Thanks! I'm quite pleased with how it came out. I had my doubts, now I'm going to see if I can make seat covers for the front and back seats.

If anybody wanted I'd be willing to make a cargo cover for them too, for less than you could buy a honda one, and I can make it in any color you want.

Looks AWSOME! Can you give more detail on the stuff you used to put it all together
"A wooden dowel and a couple of clips and D-rings and some plasticore"

I would like to make my own and save the 118 + shipping if I can just go to my local Arts & Craft store
