Well Done Elemmat - Cargo Area Covered

The only issue I encountered with my Fit was how to adequately protect the cargo area when my German Shepherd was a passenger. I came across the vendor message from Elemmat in the forum and ordered their product.

Success! The Elemmat protects the entire cargo area with a thick textured rubber covering that remains securely in place and stands up to my dogs movement in the back during a trip.

I'm completely satisfied with this product and the purchase experience and would buy from them again.

Dave be wary careful with that Idea in your head, Cause I was just going to get an extra set of rims/snowtires, Now I have Pipe, new rims/summer tires, thinking of a new stick shift knob, tinting my windows more, like to black out lower area around fog lights with plastic dip, and Seat covers. Jesus I have never done this to any car I've Owned. To say I just bought it for its interior cargo room and gas mileage.

LOL I do have a short list....solar tinting, maybe wider tires once these ones wear out, cargo area cover.

There is a discount code for forum members that is FIT10 which gives a 10% discount at checkout at Elemmat - - I think a few of you have taken advantage of it already ... sorry - it is not a retroactive discount...

I entered this code and received the discount at checkout when I ordered.

I have an Elemmat in my GD also and I love it. I carry around musical instruments so I can pretty much throw my guitar/mic stands in there and I'm not afraid to rip a hole in the Fit's crappy upholstery

My only gripe, is that when it is cold and I have to deploy the front part of the mat that was kept rolled up in the trunk, it is very stiff and hard to flatten out. It is also pretty difficult to roll back up for storage.

I just received my Elemmat cargo mats for my 2013 Fit yesterday. As others have said, they are very nice.

I plan to keep the rear section permanently installed, and then use the front section as needed, keeping it in my garage when not in use.

Concerning the Elemmat vs the Honda cargo mat, I definitely think that the Elemmat gives you more bang-for-the-buck, with the front section as part of the deal. Also, I would think that the Honda mat, with its surrounding ridge, kind of cuts down on the rear-area space. I do think that people who carry liquids that might spill or say snowny boots that might melt while being carried in the back, might do better with the Honda mat, but otherwise the Elemmat is the way to go, IMHO.

They come very quickly with standard UPS ground delivery. I ordered them on Friday afternoon and received them on Wednesday.

FYI, they are black in color and very sturdy. I can see how the front section might be hard to roll/unroll in cold weather. But that is partly due to the fact that they are so sturdy and protective. So I am very pleased and thanks to everyone on this forum who posted entries about them. Otherwise I would have gotten the Honda mats and not even been aware of the Elemmats.

Elemmat - just right!

I too ordered an Elemmat for my '13 Fit. Tony and everybody at the company helped make the order smooth and were flexible and accomodating with my shipping requests.

It works great for my needs - I'm hauling some big industrial boxes in the back of my Fit and this product is robust enough to protect against damage.

Thanks to this forum for making me aware of this great product!

I take it that this vendor has gone out of business or has he re-branded his product?

I don't know whether they went out of business, but I guess I wouldn't be too surprised. I mean, it is a pretty "niche" product and the Element doesn't even exist anymore. It would be too bad - I still like the mats I bought and they work as I described above. Maybe you could buy used ones?

This looks like a pretty solid option. I hate the idea of paying 160 for a weathertech mat that only covers half the cargo area.... Subaru makes mats that cover the seats when folded. I wish honda offered something similar.
