Cargo liner, questions,answers, advice

Ok, so I went to home depot to pick up some carpet matts as well. These are actually quite nice as the bottom is completely rubberized. My exact measurements for cutting is 40.4 x 28.25". The color is not as sexy as the vinyl stuff, but it'll do it's job. Hopefully you can find it in black or gray. It comes in a pre-roll of I believe 6x8'. Cost = $9

Enjoy

I bought one at Target that looks just like yours but it's a gray color that blends really well with the existing stuff. I did the little bit of custom cutting as well. I think the 26" x 40" mat was also around $9. I also bought a longer, narrower piece and ran it acroos the back seat flooring from door to door.

I know this post is a little old, but I remembered reading it way back when and it took me forever to find again so I wanted to thank you for the carpet mat recommendations. I went to Home Depot, found some grey carpet just like the one you have in the photos and custom cut it for the front seats. I had just enough left over for 1 spot in the backseat (my roll was only 2x5). I'll probably get another roll to finish the back seats and the cargo area. They fit just fine, excellent idea!!

Cargo liner?

Hey all, does anyone know if there's a mat or liner I could get to put in the fit that would cover the whole back when in utility mode so that the back fo the seats don't get all messed up?

Yes, there is one. It's called an "Ultra Mat" and is described in this European Honda Accessories brochure (on the Easy Interior page).

A Chinese auto parts and accessories dealer called Worldstyling.com seems to have it for sale. I have had no dealings with this vendor so I can't vouch for them. I just found them a few minutes ago when using Google to find a source for the Ultra Mat. It is probably also available from Honda dealers outside of North America.

I sent a message to Worldstyling.com asking for a price on the Ultra Mat but I haven't yet received a response.

I don't know of anyone in the U.S. or Canada that has installed an Ultra Mat, so fit can't be guaranteed. However, I believe that the interior cargo area of all Fits and Jazzes are standard around the world. I would therefore expect that it would fit.

I tried using the following search string in Google: Fit ラゲッジマット where ラゲッジマット is the Japanese word for the cargo liner.

By doing so, I found a Japanese auto accessory dealer that carries the cargo liner and is willing to ship overseas with a credit card order. Unfortunately, the website is in Japanese except for the information about overseas sales. In particular, the checkout process is entirely in Japanese. One of my wife's relatives is Japanese. Perhaps she can help me with the ordering process.

I have received a response to the email I sent to japanparts.com. They now have the Honda Fit luggage mat on their website. At 12,100 yen, their price is considerably higher than the price of 9,790 yen given for the same part at Suzuki motors. However, their website is in English rather than Japanese. I have sent them a follow up email asking if they will match the lower price.

That price does not include shipping, but it does include Japanese sales tax. Presumably, as foreign customers, we would not be required to pay the tax.

Japan Parts is quoting a shipping cost of US$70.82 to my door on top of their US$103.65 price for the mat itself.
