will ScanGauge II work with USDM Fits?
Correct. The problem is that the Fit ECU keeps reporting non-zero fuel injector pulse widths even though it is not actually injecting fuel.
Apparently there is no standard OBDII method for indicating fuel cut-off. Supposedly the Scangauge does detect (or guess) cut-off in some other cars, and we can hope that a future upgrade will do it on the Fit, based the ECU reporting open loop at minimum throttle.

Has anyone else noticed that the TPS max's out at 78 when completely floored ?
I would like to know where others max out at. The car doesn't have to be running to check it. Just turn the key to the run or II position and hit the scanguageII's red button set one of the guages to TPS then floor the gas pedal and see what it says for TPS.
Mine shows 17 at idle and 78 floored.

I'll check my TPS max later and report back.
What are people getting for MPGs when cruising constant 60 mph??? I am getting 20.6 mpg. I thought it would be higher so I just want to check and see what everyone else is getting. TIA

60 mph???
I never stay at 60 mph long enough to find out. A slight up or down grade would make it different and it's pretty hilly here. So can't help you with that one.
So far we have:
Idle - Floored (WOT)
17 -- 78
14 -- ?
12 -- ?
Wonder if there is any adjustment possible on the TPS. On the top there is an allen screw which looks a lot like a set screw. Anyone know for sure if there is or not ?
Feel free to chime in. I don't see anything about making adjustments to it in the service manual. Keep those numbers comming so we can see how much they vary.
Thanks

I just jumped in my car real quick and this time the TPS was 14 at idle. I hit the gas pedal all the way to the floor for a little bit and it went to 78. I fully released the gas pedal and the TPS was 17 and wouldnt go back to 14. *shrug*
BTW, I am not messing with you. lol

Strange, wonder why it was at 14 to start this time and 12 last time.
But that makes 2 that match now at 17 -- 78.
Need a couple more to see if they're all that way. Naturally at idle it wouldn't be 0 but I would think that WOT would be higher like 95-100.
78 just seems like it's only 3/4 of full wide open to me.
I didn't think you were messing with me. I think mine was lower before too but it had been a while since I set it to show the TPS since I like MPG, MPH, FIA and FWT on my scanguageII for day to day driving.
Thanks

It depends alot on the topography. On level ground, I get about 30-35 mpg if I am holding steady at 65 and not accelerating. Certainly, when accelerating I get low 20's. I drive about 60 miles a day at that speed. I have found that the same roads at 45-50 mph get about 38-45 mpg instead.

Scan Gauge II
Hey,
I bought it and I love it. I put the MPG ( the mode that shows how much you are getting every sec.), cold air intake, engine temp, and volts.
I am very pleased do far. I mounted it on the steering wheel. I bought it on ebay for $ 159. The going price.
I highly rec. it.
Im looking forward to taking long trips to the Cape, AC, Florida, etc..... I love the data.

Scan Gauge 2
the scangauge 2 is a good quality tool, first this is not made in china(no offense against chinese)its made in USA,second its friendly user, third its very useful(like how much is your water temp, our fit does not exactly indicate how much water temperature we got, those are just one of the many feature of this tool.)its verry easy to install, just plug it in to the OBDII connection and youre good to go.
You guys may be better off trying the TPS readings with the engine running. As you know it's very sensitive so using battery voltage it may be one reading but with the engine running and alternator putting out power it may be another reading. Also with the engine running you may be getting the throttle blade closed tighter by the vacuum which will give you a different reading than just opening and closing with no vacuum.
I already tried it both ways and kept getting the same readings. Thanks anyway claymore it was good in theory.

That makes 3 that are 17 at idle and 78 at WOT. I think that's a pretty good indication that they are probably all set that way.
Thank you all for your input. I was wondering if it was just mine.
Something else to remember is that once in a while the display will go screwy, all you have to do is unplug it and plug it back in you can do that with either plug (the one that plugs into the scanguageII or the OBDII port).
Here's the catch. Make sure you stop and turn the car off first otherwise it will tend to reset it to factory and you'll have to set it up all over again.
Found that out the hard way.
ScanGauge experience
Mine also occasionally (prehaps once a month or so) hangs up and needs to be unplugged and plugged again to reset. Can't find any rhyme or reason for when it happens. This is a major annoyance - if there is ever a "ScanGauge III", this should hopefully be fixed. Otherwise, it works as advertised and provided useful information. My only other complaint is with the display head. For this kind of $$ we should get a higher quality and better contrast display. Also, the little pushbuttons should have more tactile feedback to give them better feel.
