Here's how I have mine mounted. The other wire you see laying there is for my Sirius radio.

Yeah, I installed it myself. I am only about 75% happy with the Scosche Kit, but I'll live. The Metra seems to fit better, but that's only seeing pictures of it installed.

I figured I would post in this thread. We are designing a custom mount for this unit, for those seeking an OEM look.

Please see this thread for more details:

I jut got my scangauge today, hooked it up and it could not get past the Connecting stage; as well there is now a check engine light on . I called scangauge and they are sending a replacement unit tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience or thoughts if it is just a defective unit or a defective user ?

Thanks

Defective unit. You'll love it once you get one that works.

Mine isn't working

I just got my SG2 in the mail and i went right out and installed it. I followed the directions to the letter and it just keeps showing "Connecting..." I've tried forcing the other codes, but nothing works. Anybody have any thoughts?

First the obvious. Did you turn the key to the run position? Try it on another vehicle to see if the unit works at all. Then try it again. If all that fails call the Mfg. and get a replacement.

yeah i tried it with the engine on, with it off and the key in the run position and just with the key in - because nothing else was working. I can't try it in another car for a few hours tho... i will once i can.

Same thing happened to me, after calling customer support I quickly had a new unit in my hands 2 days later and all was good.

Yeah, I just contacted them and they're sending me a new one on Monday. I really hope it works this time, I've been excited about it for too long now.

Has anybody gotten any of the optional "XGauge" gauges to work on their ScanGauge? This is a feature of the new software set that allows you to display vehicle-specific gauges in addition to the standard gauges. This is done by doing some quick programming of the Scangauge while it's installed. Scangauge website has a .pdf file available that shows what's available for different cars, but nothing is listed for any Honda:

Link at the top of this page:
ScanGaugeII - Add-A-Gauge™

I assume this works by tapping into additional data available from the car's onboard computer. I'd like to get the ScanGauge to display oil pressure, if it's available. Anybody messed with this?
