12V outlet in the trunk?
Hi
I want to install a 12V outlet and a couple of USB chargers in the trunk, but for that I need a direct connection to the front of the car, to the battery compartment (I don't want to take the '+' from any of the lights, for many reasons).
Any suggestions on how to best route the cable? (I have a 12gauge cable).
I was thinking about taking it from the + battery terminal to the fender, go over the inner plastic piece (that surrounds the left front tyre), then route the cable through the plastic piece that goes under the front and rear doors (driver side). But then I have no clue how to take it from there into the inside of the trunk. HELP!!
I was thinking about installing the two 12V outlets and a dedicated switch on the plastic piece that covers the rear light assembly on the driver side. A 15A fuse would be mounted in-line, near the battery in front (so that if there is any short down the line, nothing bad will happen).
Any suggestions are appreciated.
EDIT: I am also open to routing the cable through the cabin, but again, not sure what the best way to do that would be, either.

I have a Fit 2008, 5MT.
I can get the cable from the battery to near the rear wheel (in front of it, by the rear passenger door on the driver side), but I can't see a good way of routing the cable from there to the tail light. I know how to pry the plastic that covers the access to tail light bulbs, but I can't see a good way of getting the cable from the plinth (? not sure that's the right word, I mean the long plastic piece under the doors) to the tail light location.
I found another thread that shows how to get the cable into the cabin, and I may go that way instead.
