i wanted to order a fujita, but after reading nobody liked the sound, i looked at aspec...m/t only...are there any other good cai's for auto's? or should i just go with a short ram? i've heard no reviews on sound or performance for shorts....

At our "mini-meet" in NorCal this weekend, I looked at fitfreak member BAP's Injen system on a Fit AT. It looked perfect to me, and BAP likes his Injen intake a LOT.

Everyone BUT K & N seems to know how to make good high flow intakes for Fits.

 

I'm getting that same one next week (if baby isn't born), i like the look, made the whole engine area seem so clean.

Seems easier for me to isntall a bigger battery too. (sideways)

 

im plannin to get this intake... but i was wondering... is it possible to just remove the wheel and the wheel well to install it instead of removing the front bumper?

 

Check the instructions, but from what i recall, the bumper is WAY easier to remove... and lets you clean up all the crap that is trapped back there. I know i have lots of bugs to clear out.

 

go for the T1R CF Intake. It's a short ram, but it works great!!

 

thats what i was planning to get, i ve been deciding intakes from injen to this...but i think im stay to this...kinda pricey... but i think its worth it? will this fit the US model with no issues? where can you recommend to get this intake?

 

the front bumper is real easy to remove the instructions that come with the ingen kit are step by step with easy to follow instructions. and with removing the fender lining the anr some clips at the door side of the liner that have to be replace when you remove the liner. besides I think it only took me about 15 minuets or so to remove but both T1R and Ingen are good products and I have been very happy with the T1R products I do have. an added bounes that I discovered is the ingen has a ram air effect because of the location of the filter and the front vent next to the fog light. hope that helps some. I got my intake from N1-concepts

 

Go to the AJR vendor forum or find AJ Cow. He's selling 2 used ones if you're wanting to save some money

 

How much and does it actually gain power? Better fuel economy?

i've got the Injen installed and i love it to deaths. no real dyno tested yet, but a definite on the butt dyno. you feel the gain once you jump to higher RPMs around 4-5.5k.

as for install, the bumper really isn't that hard. what i would suggest is that if you do remove the bumper, make sure you have something nice for it to rest on when you take it off so you don't scratch the bottom. also, DO NOT yank it out quickly if you have the Fit Sport. once you detach all the bumper clips and screws, you have to clip off the connections for the fog lights before removing it completely.
