I kinda dont belive that they are already producing the redesigned model with out it ever being showed a car show, or officially unveiled anywhere?

 

Unfortunately the Jazz Asia site lists their purple as black amethyst pearl. I'm becoming resigned to waiting until my or another BBP owners car arrives. I actually researched what color actual blackberries are last night. Dark purple of course! I wish someone from Honda could help.

 

i guess they jus hv a slightly different name for the same color , u can see they call the light blue as Sirius Metallic in Asia bt not Tidewater Blue Metallic.

 

They're being released to the public either 10/16 or 10/18 (I forget which) with the first models showing up in show rooms I believe the 26th. 1.3L are the first being released; the 1.5's are coming sometime in Nov. The pic posted above is from the dealer promo packs already sent to the dealers some weeks ago; it's from the catalog itself. Keep in mind the release is right before the Tokyo auto show, so timing is perfect. Trust me, the cars are already being built.

And from what I've heard, the new 08 JDM Fits are going to be what the 09 USDM Fits will be.

I went and test drove a base manual tranny Fit today and the speed was acceptable although not awe inspiring. I think the handling's incredible. Very Precise! The car's like A PC game with the resolution on high! Some automatic Blackberry Pearls are scheduled to arrive around October 1st but they guess that my Manual Tranny BBP will be mid October. The west coast seems to get things sooner so I'm still hoping to get some pictures of Blackberry Pearl for sure.

 

I talked to a corporate gal who works for one of the largest Honda dealers in our area (Virginia) and asked her if she could check on the availability of any Blackberry Pearl within the 16 dealerships her company oversees.

She first kinda chuckled a bit...

Then told me... its funny you ask because normally I wouldn't know much about this stuff but recently had a conversation with a co-worker about the Blackberry Pearl Fit.

She gave me... what she called... the inside scoop.

She said the only way I would get a blackberry pearl Fit was to special order it. The reason is that so many people want the Blackberry Pearl... Honda cannot even keep up with the special orders coming in. Therefore... no Blackberry Pearls will be sent to dealership that are not already special ordered. So if you see one on a Honda lot... it will have been already sold!

Evidently the current waiting period is between 6 to 8 weeks... but that could get worse if the orders keep coming in for that color. (I'm sure they will.)

That's the story as of Sept 22,2007.

well poosauce, my gf ordered a blackberry pearl sport. looks like theres gonna a lot of them haha. i really want to know if it is purple or blue?

If it's actually purple like the Black Amethyst Pearl, I'm 100% in. Even have the perfect license plate holder for it. But if it's blue... meh.

Yeah it sucks! I'm getting tired of talking about it!

 

I'm checking here multiple times a day in the hope that someone somewhere has seen a BBP.

 

I know alot of people have posted that they got their 08s (I'm one of them), but still not one BBP. What gives in the Land of Fit?

 

I don't care anymore. I got a SSm instead.

 

Maybe Honda is not making alot of BBPs, i never see them on any Honda lots..
