Sorry for the blurry pic guys. I took it through the open door with a car on a spinning display at LA car show. Focus was on the steering wheel and upper dash LCD display. I cropped it to the shifter only.
McLaren SLR has a trick shifter with a start button. That one is nice too.
I do not know anything about leather, but I am sure the one used for knobs and steering wheels must be specific one with a special treatment with chemicals and such to withstand heat, direct sun and hand sweat.
