hey hey so you live in sd so do you ever get harrassed about your tint lol cuz we technically cant have tint on the front windows lol

 

Here is my setup: 20% Rear 3, 35% rear door, 50% front door.

 

its a normal reaction if my windows are up, and i end up seeing a cop to row my front windows down. my windows are down 90% of the time anyways so to answer your question, no.

we own an economy car, you really think we are going to get pulled over?
the only cars that get pulled are civics and integras, because they are just everywhere and cops hate them.

to clarify i dont have tint on the windshield just all the other windows.
but i have pulled up next to a cop, looked at him through my windows, and then rowed them down. that was also during the time they were doing a sting operation at a local meet. so im not afraid anymore, but it is still a natural reaction to row them down.


just get the 5%. you wont regret it. especially when you do photshoots, it will stand out!

 

 

20% in the front. 5% everywhere else. Soon to be 20% on the windshield.

I have had zero issues viewing anything through the 5%. I haven't been harassed by the police about it and I have been pulled over a couple of times.

 

awesome thread, i was just about to make one. I was thinking about 35% all around for a cleaner look but i even wanna go lighter, for the more classy look. How noticeale would it be if i go darker on the back than the front..maybe 35 rear n 45 front. (cops arent too happy with tint up here in the bay..)

5% is the way to go bro you could see at night you just might have to squint you eyes a lil and also be careful when you backing out lol.

 

yeah backing out at night is the only thing that scares me and the only thing that scares me about it is lil kids runnin around but really kids aren't supposed to be running around outside after dark and if they are i would hope they'd notice a car slowly moving out of a parking spot and if they don't then they deserve to get run over so i guess my point is i'm not really scared of backing out at night then i guess... and the fog lights help to see wider when you drive through neighborhoods anyway, so i wouldn't worry about kids runnin out in front of me either in that case.

 

that clean look is what i am also going for. i'm either gonna stay tint-free. or maybe 50% all around!

i wish 35% was legal here... ours limit is 70%, which i think is partically clear.. which i also think no one gets on their car.. I dont think tint shops even carry 70%!

 

hey sox its really a hard decision to pick which percent tint. i even want tint on my fit, but still deciding on the percent. i want to tint my fit soon tho.

 

I have 20% on the back doors all the way back and 35% on the front. The triangles are 20% aswell and i have a 6 inch banner on the windshield that is also 20%. To be honest with you im going to change my tags from North Carolina to Wisconsin next time i go home and go 5% all the way around with a 5% banner and 35% the rest of the windshield. In NC i cant get away with anything but legal but living in NC with Wisco tags i can get away with it. Dont settle Tony get what you want so you dont have to go back and get it redone.

 

Got any pics of urs? i wanna see if u could notice the difference in percentages in the front/back.. esp on a MR fit. Thanks in advance!

 

Give me about 15 min. Im at a friends house and cant get my cam to sync with the computer.

20% on all the backs and 35% on driver/passenger sides, 20% on triangles and banner.

I will keep trying the cam and see if i cant get some better pics up.

if you want that clean look, it's either all or nothin, brah. i like the clean look with no tint too, but with work and school all the time i leave a lot of shit just lyin around in my car and i don't want people to be all up in my grill either tryin to break in and steal shit or just cuz sometimes shit's a mess all over inside. plus ya know the sun gets hot and stuff. maybe i'm an extremist, but if i'm a go do sumfin, i'm a go do it all the way. i believe 5% is clean as hell tho too, imho. but only if you go all around. otherwise it stands out too much cuz of the contrast and i think that way makes it look worse, so i guess you should only go lighter if you ain't gonna do the front.
