Fit/Jazz ART & Scenic Shots
Fit/Jazz ART & Scenic Shots
I'd like to start a thread on Artzy shots of your Fit/Jazz. We did this on the Element Owner's group too and it was fun. The background is as important as the subject. Let your Fit/Jazz be a piece of the overall composition. I guess to keep this narrowed, lets think "rural/scenic environment" (although, if you've got a well lit city shot thats fine too). And it doesn't have to be the whole car. Get creative and good luck!!!

by the way... that's not a lake, I was above the clouds.

I think its kinda hard to distinguish ARTsy from just good or great or maybe even unique shots....
its insanely subjective. Should we/you put in more perameters?
There are a bunch of pic threads.....like the rolling shots one for example, that many would consider very artistic.
(I would do more abstracts personally, or highly technical shots)
What do you all think?
As this would probably just end up being a photo post up with little chance of being unique without perameters?.... idunno... any help guys???
but again...I am always up for pics....yummy
^^^^nice pic btw.... I love cloud lake/soup shots...

well, the way I see it - this post should be scenic and beautiful places that happen to have your Fit/Jazz in the shot. But I could also see horrible places (ie trashed alley) with your Fit/Jazz being the beauty in the shot. I guess what I'm saying is background is everything. Let your car be a component of the overall makeup.
PhitsPhine, so it seems like you are going more towards the landscape/cityscape/environmental subset route rather than just Artistic in general, which would be far less confined...
...am i correct?
That would be a nice subject that I think might yeild specific stuff. So as an Idea would you be willing to change/update your original post to reflect that? (obviously not the pic though...it already fits the bill so to speak
)
I love that calm look and the light and mood. The front light of the car looks a bit strange, how do you get an effect like that? I mean, there is much light in the background, and the car is pretty much good lit up, but still the light from front light is higly visible.
I dont have so much photo talent but I have got a few that I like.
I have posted this particular image on this forum before; but now I can tell WHY I like it.
There is much going on in the picture that I was trying to capture and I think I did:
If we start with the car itself, the sun is shining nicly on it and show all the range of the Black Amethyst Pearl paints colors. You see both dark and light parts. It is shiny because I have just polished it

Behind the car you see a wooden structure that is a "fish rack", where they hang fish to dry out. Actually this is a replica from a factory that was close to this place before they was moved because of the new road passing this place close to the airport. This say something about the town I live in; it was formely known to be a good fishing harbour.
And behind that you can se some houses that shows that this is close to urban areas.
And all the way in the back there are some mountains. You cant actually see the nicest one that are a little more to the right. (If you click on the image you get to the other picture where you can see that mountain with some snow on top...)
I know this image is not perfect, but I try to learn, so comments would be nice. Give feedback on the shot, the angle, the light, the composition... everything that makes a good photo.
nice. I like how the lighting really shows that there are "lines" in our vehicles. Also the smooth metallic purple (sorry, Black Amethyst Pearl) is a great contrast against the rustic woody framework and earthy tones of the grasses (do I sound artzy?
). I always like when there's a little grass or something in the foreground to show depth. Good work.
As for how I took that picture. I pulled over, waited for traffic to not run me over, stepped back and took a single photo before getting back in the car to warm up.

So those are clouds!? Thats awesome. A coworker of mine went to Italy and a few other places recently. She showed pics of something similar. They were on a train going up a mountain, all foggy and then crystal clear. Looked like mountains but it was ALL clouds. Beautiful.
I seriously looked at the pics in awe. Just stared.
On topic... Ill take some pics this weekend maybe? See what I can find.
Not many scenic places in FL, maybe there is... Ive been her my whole life so they probably dont stand out to me.

Nice pics!
If you would like, when you are in PS (or similar) try boosting the saturation (only) in the areas that are slightly less saturated. You can also do some of this in camera (you have a D40 right? sorry If I am wrong)
but it will most likely oversaturate the aready saturated colors and boost the unsaturated ones (leaving it unbalanced still)
Keep em coming ppls

Yea, I have a D40. I have saturation on "moderate." Or something like that.
I honestly dont really do much to me pics. Theyre straight from the camera to this forum.
