a great reason to have gone with the kit!

your lucky there are hks tuners in florida, i'd have to drive awhile to find one.

the numbers are totally fine for a dd. and that torque is awesome!

how so? he is on such little boost, would it really make that big of a difference?

i personally would prefer daily driveability over 2 extra peak hp.

3in is too big. Any reputable performance shop will tell you that here. Too big and itll have no low end. It already lacks that.

How so?

Remember the Fit doesnt pack a 7.0L Diesel motor.
The motor is tiny, the turbo is tiny and a huge exhaust will only gain a different power curve on the dyno.

I agree! 3" is a very normal size for a turbo application, but most turbo applications are 300+hp.

Turbo cars work best with exhaust velocity in front of the turbo and little/no restriction after. 2 1/4" exhaust at only 145whp is very little restriction. 2 1/2" would be on the verge of no restriction and probably the best size for this appliction, but is it worth spending the money to upgrade? Probably not. When he ups the boost to 8psi...then maybe.

And I'm not ignorant. I've owned/tuned/raced turbo cars, supercharged cars, nitrous cars, and N/A cars. I have a 532whp supercharged Mustang in the garage right now! It has a dual 2.5" exhaust. My diesel superduty had a single 4" turbo back exhaust and made 740wtq.

I know plenty of people with VERY fast turbo cars, before the Fit all my cars were turbo. Still have one. My dads truck is on 3in still. 383 Procharged on 17psi. Runs mid 10's all night.

2.5in tops on the Fit turbo, with the stock motor. Even if the car is upped to 10psi.

The size of the exhaust is based on the motor and turbo size. Not how much power youre hoping to gain.
So lets say the L15 can put down about 200whp (stock internals, built, whatever.) a 2.5in exhaust is plenty fine for 200whp.

you're missing the entire point.

turbos are best with NO exhaust, PERIOD. honda people are so caught up in 60mm exhaust...and i have no clue why.

on my dyno, 248c chassis dyno, i've gained 8whp/7-8tq across the entire rpm band on a STOCK GSR with 3". oh man, it's gonna lose sooooo much bottom end. ohhh noooezzz not mah back pressurez!!!! idiots.

no exhaust > 4" open > 3" open > 3" muffler > you're CRAP

Cool.
The Fit isnt a 1.7L/1.8L, isnt DOHC, doesnt have any headflow, and doesnt have the size of the turbo you had on your GSR. Not to mention the turbine elbow on the HKS turbo is 2-2.25in anyway.

why dont you just do a dyno running open downpipe vs your exhaust and just see which makes more power?
