yep 18 thousand!!! and all he did was bruise his back. to treat that all you do is give the patient some sort of muscle relaxer or pain medicine, an xray and instructions on what to do and what not to do.

for something as severe as a broken knee cap... good god. the settlement could be rediculous. that is a very serious injury. not something that you bounce back from in a few days. possibly lots of surgery and rehab to go through afterwards.

on a little side note for those of you who read this, when you have some sort of injury in a store like toephers always insist on an ambulance ride to the hospital. the friend who hurt his back was told by his lawyer that is he had been taken to the hospital in an ambulance instead of waiting a day and going to his own doctor that he would have gotten at least 25 thousand. something about having an ambulance come to a store it causes alot of drama and looks bad on the store so they have to py bukoo bucks to keep you from going public with it or something liek that.

 

Ok so a quick update. I was supposed to stay in the hospital 1 night just to recover from surgery. However i ended up staying 4 days. Because i had a fever, chestpains, and high blood pressure/pulse. And instead of them giving me an imobilzer for my knee to wear for 4 weeks, i have a cast on my whole leg that i'm most likely going to have to wear for 6 weeks with about 4 weeks of physical therapy on top of that.....
So this turned into a lot worse situation than we originally thought. It'll get better tho. But i'm defenitly not going to be able to make it to the meet now. Because i get tired too quick luggin the cast around.

You know the worst part about it all is that fact that i won't be able to drive my fit for 4-6 weeks. And i just got my J's racing exhaust in. Can't even put it on =( so depressing

Ok quick update for those who love me. LMAO. Its been 7 1/2 weeks now. And i went to the doctor today. He was kinda dissapointed in the progress of the knee. BUT we start physical therapy on monday. and in 4 weeks i go back to him. He wants 45 degrees of motion between now and then. So that means at least 4 more weeks of no work and living at my parents house. I still haven't driven my poor fit. And probably won't be able to for another 3 weeks or more. So i STILL have my exhaust just sitting on the floor here sigh.... oh well. At least things are looking up now

 

Well get better before December. I might be throwing one last little bash before the end of the year...

Did you get a lawyer? Is Wal-Mart going to pay for all this? I am not one to urge people to sue but in this case I think you should.

Another update. I went to the physical therapist for the first time today. So of course my knee is hurtin now. Good and bad news tho. My knee isn't stiff i can actually bend it up to about 45 degrees which is what the doctor wanted me to work up to for the 5th of november. Bad news. I've lost alot of muscle in my leg so its going to take the next 2 weeks or so to build it all back till i can bend the leg on my own or keep it straight when i lift it. Somehow i had this idea in my head that i woudl be driving in about 2 weeks but in all actuality the Physical therapist said its probably gonna be more like 5 or 6 weeks. Oh well. But i'm bending it and its not stiff so that is the main praise report
