DIY solution for the sliding passenger floor mat
I found this snap fastener kit at Lowes for $6.00, and installed it to prevent my OEM all season passenger mat from sliding around. It's really easy to install and comes with easy to follow directions on the back of the package..it's a great fix to the sliding mat.

1. I determined where I wanted the snaps, and punched through my mat with a scratch awl (you can use a nail, screwdriver, etc.)

2. Insert the button head part through the mat and place the female part of the snap on the other side of the mat...you may have to trim a little of the mat away to make a hole. (*note* I painted the button heads black beforehand, so they would match the mat).
3. Use the set tools and a hammer to connect the two parts to the mat.
4. Measure the distance from one snap to the other, use this for a template to install the male parts of the snap into your floorboard (*note* the screw does not have to go into the metal beneath the carpet to hold, but will be more secure)...
DONE...here's the finished product.

My driver's side mat came with fasteners that actually lock, but not the passenger side, so I improvised with these.
