July26 IRDC lapping event @ Pacific Raceway

I just went to an IRDC lapping event(www.irdc-racing.com) at Pacific Raceway yesterday. Weather turned out great for us here in Pac-NW, sunny & around 30c outside temperature. Track condition was great.

I got there pretty early with my buddy and started off the day with major unload & did a final check on my car. After the 2.5hr drive from Vancouver BC I really wanted to make sure there's no nail in my tire. Othere than that everything is easy coz brakes & stuff were checked a few days before & I flushed the brake & clutch fluid too.

This is the first time I ran PR(Pacific Raceway) with my mFactory 4.7 final gear, Quaife LSD & T1R clutch setup. It's definitely a lot more fun to have this transmission setup especially at the back section from turn2 to turn8. I don't have to shift down to 2nd gear at 3a-b & down to 3rd gear at 5a-b anymore and the car still got some pull with the bigger final gear setup. I can get back on to throttle much early with the limited slip differential. However, the RT615 starts to get really greasy and I need to hold off for half a lap sometimes. T1R organic clutch hold up really well in such a hot weather though. It felt very consistent for the whole day. Scan gauge showing maximum water temperature was up to around 87-88c in the afternoon.

Anyway I didn't really take any pictures for the day. It was just too hot out & I got lazy. But I got some in car videos to share:
YouTube - IRDC09 session2 session 2
YouTube - IRDCsession3 1 session 3 part 1
YouTube - IRDCsession3 2 session 3 part 2

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing the videos. Looks as if you had a lot of fun. The tracks seems to be quite difficult and also dangerous with these elevation changes. Nice one, keep it up.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I will try out some other tires next year. Just haven't decide whether I will go for R compound or street tires like RE11/AD08/Z1 star spec/Kumho XS.....
