So glad I dropped in here Mike. Not original paint. Not even good paint. More like thick cheap paint..was on the car when I got it..luckily I am good with a buffer. Had to wet sand the piss out of this car though. My first time wetsanding a car too.

That's a killer story there! I had 2 daytonas that were leased through my dad for almost nothing back in the 80s. I had a 1988 white Daytona C/S and a 1989 red Daytona C/S Competition which had about the same engine as the omni except for the good 2 pc intake which was '86 and '87 shelby intercooled cars only. That car was actually pretty rare.

You ever see my pic thread on here Mike? Come crap it up..

Hey thanks man! That is my second set of SSR Comps. I had some on my 2003 Acura CL 6-speed. I think they look better on the Omni.

I don't think Mike would mind the hijack but he should give you som crap for not hijacking it rite with a pic. Here is me tonight ralaxing after my hatch light install. Just put the centercaps back on the SSRs. I drilled tiny holes in them because I think heat makes them pop off. Lost one an was able to actually find a place online that sells them.

Love those subarus and think it's cool that they're called bugeyes.

Last bugeye I saw was trying to steal a six pack from a TR3. (My buddy Chris who shot my pic thread) sent me this pic and cracked me up.

A guy let me drive his Bugeye and I decided that I had to have one... By the time I got my drivers license I had grow too much to fit in one... I bought a used 3000 instead and later a 100-4.. The Sprigets that came out later I was able to get in and out of but I had to work at it if the top was in place.. British cars and motorcycles were wonderful when they would run right..

Same name, different continent... Brit Bugeye... Jap Bugeye... then there's the German Bugeye... IIRC, the '02 was the only one called that when it first came out in the US. The headlights changed after. 10 yrs. and still puts a smile on my face... with every curve and gear shift!

Sorry Big Mike...

Yep my 1st car was a 1970 TR6 B.R. green with knock off spoke rims.
Worked on that lil monster all week just so I could drive to the Atlantic Ave. on Saturday night and break something!!
But hold the road like G. Jetson's wife held his wallet.

That TR3 is a blast to drive. Lots of tork and 100hp not bad for '58. You'd like my friend CP Texas. He's got english bikes too. Don't have a pic of his Norton uploaded anywhere but I could tommorow if you wnna see it.

Here is his triumph.

Sorry Big Mike...
Nice subaru! SSRs look good. Fishing around for pics is tiring isn't it?

English cars are cool. Here is my friend Paul's TR3 with my friend Jim taking Gabor for a ride.

Paul writes for european mag car sometimes. Gabor swapped a 6-speed into an Audi A8 by himself.

Thanks again Mike. YOu're the greatest.

Bugeyes great cars I like the blue one that looks original. Classic cars are great when they are not restored or allowed to show some age to a point where they are not original. Wheeler Dealers ran a show last season buying and retoring a Bugeye.

Drained the trans and changed the filter (28.00 shipped) w/ Mobil1 full syn> 3qts. What a good idea placing the filter out side of the transmission! It was a snap and was able to see/check out & clean other components.
