Hey Cody!

Yes it is! Is yours a base? If you can get a sport head unit for cheap (Less than $100), IMO it's a noticeable difference from the crappy base head unit. The option of being able to play mp3/wma cd's and the preset equalizer is awesome.

Yep, mine's a base and the lack of MP3/WMA Cd's is a PITA. I'll have to look into it!

Thanks dude!

You should!

I got tired of plugging in my phone everytime I am in my car, and I also like to keep the interior stock looking. I should have took the specs from the back of the sport unit to compare, but I was too excited to install it.

Goodluck on your search!

Thanks! I am keeping the mudflaps. A lot of people are telling me to get a lip kit but I'm really set on keeping it base (ish) looking without the lip kit.

The spoiler is just an oem accessory spoiler for the base models. The sport model spoiler have different mounting points.

How did that synchromesh feel in the trans?

That header needs a cam and stock gk pistons to compliment it.

TBH, I didn't really feel a difference after putting it in. My shifting was already smoother since I've had my shifter extender.

Definitely getting a cam regrind by either Delta or Bisimoto. As for the pistons, I need to do more research on them. Thanks for the advice!
And on a side note, I need to get that header fixed because there is a slight leak where the two pieces connect. Design could've been better, or at least where they connect.

A cheap fix for the header is to wrap the male end with aluminum foil and smash it in place in the female end. That is quick and dirty if you are without a welder.

I'm assuming that's what you did? I was actually thinking of putting muffler weld on the male end and then put the female end on. Or permanently get it welded, but that takes the convenience of having a 2-piece header.

No I don't have a race header but I have worked on plenty of cars to learn little tricks like that. I did weld up a race header a few years ago but the guy needed to drop the subframe to get it out after that. That was back when the header hit the subframe and needed to be modified to fit properly.

I might just try that foil trick then. I want to avoid the hassle of dropping the subframe just to get the header out. So how many wraps do I need to do and how wide do I cut the foil?

It really depends on the gap between the male and female end. I usually did 3 wraps of foil cut 2" wide. It's tricky to get on while holding the foil tight so just take your time. Make sure the foul is under the clamp so when you tighten it down it somewhat holds it in place.

Or maybe tape the foil in place and just let it burn away when installed?
That's if I do it by myself.

Yeah that is a good idea. At worst you will have a burning plastic smell for while.
