I'm bringing this back from the dead! It's been a while FF!

Received my new set of wheels earlier this week c/o Aspec Wheels & Tires.
15x7 Rota Slipstreams ET40, with my test profile of 205/50/15 Ohtsu FP7000's.
Got a deal on the tires so I decided to purchase them since I'm only testing the measurements for now if I will rub or not, etc.



I took the front coilovers out, cleaned them up a little bit and lubed them up to protect from further rusting/binding. Also pushed the preload a little bit to get my front lower since the Type II's don't go that low if I followed the proper preload and max the perch out.

Today I also received the parts to delete my clutch delay valve. Ordered everything from ANPlumbing.com.

Finished the CDV Delete DIY today and I must say that I like how the clutch pedal is now, a little bit of a cable clutch feeling.

To anyone planning to tackle this task: USE A FLARE NUT WRENCH TO REMOVE THE FITTINGS! Well, at least on the one that connects the hard line to the rubber line. I stripped mine but was able to crack it open with a vise grip, already ordered a replacement part but with a 2-month wait.

I also ordered the 20" SS line, IMO the 18" should work perfectly. 20" has a lot of slack though, if you want that.









Also finished cleaning and re-adjusting my rear coilovers yesterday. I'm happy with the current drop and will run this set-up for a while.
My only question is: Why does the rear driver side always sit lower than the rear passenger side? I also observed this back when I was still running Skunk2 lowering springs. Anyone else experiencing this? Please chime in.

how did you like the clutch line mod?

 

It's not too bad. Only difference I noticed is that I can feel the pedal engagement better now that when it had the CDV. Still can't compare to a cable clutch feel, which is what I'm used too. But maybe upgrading to a higher performance clutch would fix that for me.

 

what kind of MPGs are you getting? wondering if your air intake changed anything?

 

My apologies but I don't drive this car enough to check my mpg. But last time I drove this out of town, IIRC, it got close to 550kms with 91 octane and a full exhaust with cat delete.
