Hopefully saved a Fit from a slow death

So I sold my Corvette and truck wanting to go back to just one comfy car with good mpg's and low maintenance. I found a 2008 Honda Fit Sport that was in desperate need of some loving and the price was right. Hard to find one of these with a clean title.

It needed a windshield, tires, alignment, driver side mirror, new front lip and a ton of small maintenance items but that's half the fun right. A quick call to Honda and two weeks later. I get a box full of goodies! I must say new OEM floor mats are a good feeling

Started ripping it apart to get to the headlights. Time to crack them open and paint the housings black. To much orange going on for me

Dinner is almost ready, this whole process was a PITA looking back I'd just buy new ones in black

A couple of short walks to Walmart later for the essentials like new headlights and beer :P The dog didn't seem to like the cows but they flocked to see him.

The black housings look miles better than the stock orange in there.

That's funny you bought it with the front lip missing. That's how mine came as well. I bought my OEM front lip from hondaautomotiveparts.com

The fits get so hot because of all that damn glass, letting all the light and heat in. I don't think I've owned a hotter car than this one.

Paint on the roof is fine is that a common issue?

I love how they look vs orange. It is a very hot car it has some tint I'd like to redo a little darker

Yeah, the paint on the Fit isn't the greatest, def. not on the roof.
