Light Weight Brake Rotors

Does any one know of a reputable company who manufacturers 262mm 2 piece light weight front rotors for the Fit? It seems like there could be good unsprung weight savings here.

Light brake rotors won't be easy to find at least yet. You might check in Asian markets as the Jazz has been out longer.

Right now, after searching I do not see much at all for the FIT. Some stuff for light rotors for the Civic Si.

You might contact Todd at TCE and ask about a custom rotor for the fit or even a better big brake kit for the FIT. He'd have to develop it.

If you want to save weight your best bet is a lighter weight rim and tire.

Otherwise if you want to stop better you might change brake pads first and keep the rotors stock. If you track your car then upgrade the brake fluid to something that allows for a higher boiling point.

Resurrect 7 Years Later

Any updates to this info after seven years? I'm researching removing rotational mass in the fit and this is one area I'm interested in. I already know about reducing weight in the car, lightweight pulleys and wheels. I'm specifically looking for any info on lightweight rotors. Thanks!

ASM makes titanium rotors for the s2000 which will eliminate a ton of weight, however you will drop more money on them than a new set of volks.

I don't think there is a good lightweight upgrade or two peice rotors without upgrading the front brakes...
