GF210 rubbing?

I read through the obvious threads on this and did not see it, so sorry if it has been answered. I didn't see my specific wheel/tire combo dealt with anywhere.

I have HFP 16 wheels (dealer installed, came with the car etc.) and Bridgestone tires, 205/45/16. I am not sure how to determine offset-- these are factory installed wheels so maybe that's a standard/given?

Anyway, just curious if I need to worry about rubbing with Tanabe GF210 springs. I have 2 small kids in the car daily, and the weekly groceries (family of four) are the only substantial routine cargo.

Even if you don't have this exact set-up, I know some of you guys are expert enough at this to suggest some general probability. Thanks so much!

most members who know about wheel+drop combinations have thrown their guesses into similar and different setups which we could say it wont/will rub. Sometimes, it has gone wrong for some people who have took their advise, and for others it has turned out just fine(no rubs with what they asked). So, answering your question, no, you wont rub because of the fact that hfp wheels have an high offset 55 and gf210's only drop 0.9'' in the rear. Hope bad luck doesnt gets in the way and make you rub.

Hey J, you saw me at the Houston meet. I was the one with the Tanabe set-up all around. With those GF210's there are no rubbing issues at all with the HFP wheels. You can turn as hard as you like and wont ever touch your fenders. If you're going to the Austin meet(TBA) then i'll let you in on my car. We'll go take some corners and see how you like it. But if you want to get those now...I would

Very much thanks guys!

Blue cell-- I remember well-- I liked the look of your car a lot and you had the same wheel set-up. I should have PMd you first!

How do you like GF210 for daily driver/passengers in back type ride quality? I seem to remember you liked them quite a lot in general.

Its great, not too bumpy, handles well. I do a lot of Costco shopping for my gas station so I carry quite a load. Still with 6 cases of Vitamin water, 3 cases of Oil...I don't rub. I don't even notice it when I carry that stuff. When I have people in the car, it's the same way. For the price, it's worth it to me. I don't expect to spend loads of money on parts. If it does the job, it's good enough for me. I don't bottom out going really fast either. One thing about springs, the front bump stops have to be cut down at least 1 inch. It doesn't take much time to cut it, like 30 seconds to cut one side. Other than that, springs go right on and you have a new set-up ready to be abused

Sounds great-- thanks so much.

So just cut down the front bump stops, rears aren't necessary?
