I was checking shipping to Hawaii and it wouldn't make sense for me to bring these bars and braces in.
that is the stuff i am talking about.

Thanks guy

People can say what they want about strut bars, but when I installed my J's front strut bar it changed the way my car cornered. More planted when cornering hard. I just took my C-Pillar out and havn't noticed anything different. Then again I don't autocross where these components would realyl be put to the test.... So I'm just keeping my front strut for engine bay bling.

I think you'll notice the difference more near the suspension (strut bars and frame braces that tie in the suspension) C pillar would be at the extreme end of body torsion. Check out that ultra racing site posted earlier good info. and safety measures.

Haven't read all the posts but coming from a guy who had both the front and rear J's racing strut bars I say its all a placebo effect. One must take into account the construction of the bars and how their linkage system works. The way the J's rear strut bar mounted to the top of the shock towers it didn't seem very rigid didn't provide the supposed support that a strut bar should be providing and that is to the chassis. I actually want to purchase a Cusco rear because it seems like it mounts more to the actual body rather than the shock tower. I know there's ongoing debate about this subject but hey I'm going to school to be an engineer. Maybe I can give more insight once I get further in the program. Or even better, draw something on autocad or solidworks that would be more structurally supportive for the fit.

Somebody should set up a slalom cone run. Do 5 runs with all the strut bars... then 5 without... average the times.

That'd be friggin awesome, but then they'll also have to report the type of suspension their running as well as any other mods

That's fine... the theory here is that they would perform regardless of suspension, if not better in conjunction with coilovers/springs.

Hahaha yeah I have no idea what i was talking about. my bad i had like 4 hours of sleep last night...

(hahaha man i must be going crazy. how would we be comparing that to a stock fit anyways. lol)

the c-pillar bar would help, but it won't make a huge difference by itself. maybe a very slight difference on turns. but it would help much more with the other suspension parts such as: lowering springs or coilovers, front and rear strut bars, front and rear anti sway bars, roll cage, etc. i myself will be buying the c-pillar bar soon. it not only helps out suspension, but looks wise too

I just installed my C-pillar bar today, so I guess I'll be giving it a bit of a workout over the next few days to see what effect it may have. I actually don't expect too much, but only b/c the bar is the only chassis stiffening part I've got at the moment (will be adding more soon, but saw a bar I really liked and jumped on it). In my case, I've got the Beatrush bar and it seems like a very solid piece with definitely top-quality construction. I liked it better than the J's and others because it seems more beefy overall in design, but still very light weight. I'll post if I notice any immediate effects from it, but probably won't really test it hard until I go autox at the end of next month.
