brake lines and shoes...

Ok so my Fit has 38K miles on it and I'll be changing the front brakes for the third time real soon and the rears for the first time. The first change was at 24K. What can I say, I like driving.

I've been doing some research trying to figure out which models are compatible with our Fit brakes and all is going well. Plan to purchase some civic slotted rotors and rsx EBC Yellowstuff pads. But I hit a snag looking for stainless steel braided brake lines. Does anyone know if any other model would Fit our cars?

Also does anyone know if they make performance or "better than OEM" shoes for the rear? Cuz I can't seem to find any.

Any input would be much appreciated. thanks.

Sweet! I can't believe I haven't run across this. Thanks for bringing this to my attention although isn't $135 a bit steep?

That's nothing compare to other SS brake lines for other makes/models. You'll notice a difference with hard braking on high speeds. Plus it'll extend the life of your disc brakes and pads a little bit. I'd recommend them for all daily and autox drivers.

You can use Performance Friction or Hawk pads for better stopping and longer life. I use the ones for 91 CRX Si wit a little grinder work on the backplates (not pads).
Others suggest the Acura RSX pads but they were too thick for my calipers.
The Hawk HPS pads are a good choice and fairly priced.
good luck.

I use the T1R SS Braided lines, on the street and on the track for about 15k miles, 0 issues, great pedal feel, and really HARD braking power.

Pads you can use any RSX Base Model pads. I use RSX Base Model Hawk HPS pads, also 0 issues.

Thanks for the info guys but i don't have a problem finding pads. I'm already running RSX base pads. My problem is shoes for the rear. So far only person that mentioned shoes are from Spoon.

I don't see an application for a Fit in the list.
