with hand tools for the most part? I installed springs in my old golf the fit seems like it would be easier

rears should take no more than 30 minutes.

Fronts about an hour and a half with hand tools. Only thing you need to watch out for is that the knuckle can lean out too far and cause the CV joint to pop out. do a search, been covered quite a few times.

can't you just use a jack stand and rest the rotor studs on the jack stand?

all i use are hand tools. i rarely use an impact gun unless i absolutely
need it.

the Fit uses rather low torque settings (50lbs/ft range max).

you'll be fine. if you get the EnduraTechs, it comes with step-by-step
instructions with pictures and torque settings. it is by far one of the
best instructions ive ever seen.

Nope,

the ball joint has way way too much play it's not the control arm lowering too far that's the issue it's the entire knuckle kicking out so that essentially the wheel studs face down.

Just use some string or wire to tie it back so it can't flop forward and it's a non-issue.

I used just a jackstand thinking the same thing and I had my CV joint pop out.

Also if your doing this with a floor jack, jack up one side of the car, put a jackstand under it then jack up the other side so that both front wheels are off the ground. This will prevent any issued with pre-loading the sway bar, since the coil-over kit gives you sortened end-links.

i have 2 hydraulic jacks with fairly large platforms so i just used that
under the knuckle to support it while i was working on the front.

it's convenient when you're ready to assemble everything back
together cause you can just raise the hydraulic to align the
fasteners.

when you remove the front have your rims that you took off ready to lean on the rotors. thats what i did.

right when you take off the bottom bolt it will fall out towards you so make sure when you take out the bottom bolt on the strut you are pushing towards your car cause that thing is pretty heavy
