How many miles on ur springs/ help me with my choice

Ok guys im looking into lowering the Fit. I am looking at lowering springs like the Tanabe GF210. Was wondering how many miles are u guys are at on ur springs and any problems with them on the stock struts. It really comes down to this should i save for coils or am i good with the GF210 for my fit its my dd. And i want it to last a long time with no problems. i am keeping the stock rims to.

You might have a hard time finding this answer out because there are tons of new people with small amount of miles on their car and also it seems like guys that had springs like to upgrade to coils after a short while of having springs.

I have only had my springs on for about 5000 miles and have had no problems so far besides scraping more from being lower

Since your fit is DD, i say springs till u blow ur stock struts, then upgrade to aftermarket struts. You should be fine with GF210's on stock struts. Eventually down the road, like 13K+ miles or so, you might start to notice the struts giving out BUT many members have said that their struts are perfectly fine after alot of miles. Iv been running GF210's on stock structs for about 4K miles and nothing negative yet. Coilovers do offer peace of mind but i personally think that if your not tracking on a regular, it overkill.

So how much more, if any, do you like the coilovers rather than the springs. Different driving impressions...

oh, night and day difference. i LOVE my coilovers. but the price to looks comparison, springs>*.

if you want to do any aggressive driving, spirited driving, if you will, get teh coilovers, if you want a lowered fit, and thats it, get springs

I'm definitely a "function over form" guy and plan on buying some coilovers (probably HKS) as I take the twisties rather aggressively. I want the lowered look to close the wheel gap but wouldn't spend $1K for it unless it really added to my driving fun.

your stock shocks will hold up fine for a very long time. aftermarket springs with stock shocks will not last as long as all stock suspension, but it will still last.

I have close to 25,000 miles on my Skunk2 Springs, on stock shocks.
Zero problems thus far.
