The Life of the Shocks...

How long would my shocks/struts last if I just lowered w/ some Vogtland springs? I drive my car every day but not extremely hard but not extremely slow/soft either. Any ideas?

Anyone selling coilovers for cheap?

yes, yes I do. haha

This is my first REAL car. But, I have read on here that they can last you 10K+ miles w/ aftermarket springs and stock struts. And then Ive also read that they go out in about 3 months. Anyone have any real knowledge about this?

do you have a link for the "they go out in about 3 months"? because ive never heard of that.

btw, i think there may only be one person on this whole site with aftermarket struts/shocks.

I've read a lot of articles and it seems the usual life for the OEM struts/shocks is about 50k miles, depending on how you drive and how much you drive. With aftermarket springs, I'd start checking the suspension periodically after 25k miles.

it probably depends on how you drive and the roads you drive on.
