Red face GE8 point me to the springs please!

Hi, im lovin my GE8 but im havin trouble finding lowering springs for it and i dont wanna try putting on springs ment for a GD. I'd like to go for Tein S-tech because thats what i got on my supercharged EJ and the ride is nice for DD. i might have read somewhere that RS*R has springs too but i dont know if they where talkin bout a GE or a GD. im not lookin to race it. just give it a nice look but not slam it either.

any help guys?

Bringing back the dead.

New fit owner here, I too am looking for recommendations for lowering springs for my GE. I'm looking between 1-1.5 inch drop. I don't want it slammed just a little lowered for looks, handling, etc.

There aren't a whole lot of options for Swift Springs on the Fit.

Assuming you go with what is "made for" the Fit... then, at the moment, its:

4H021 for GE
4H912 for GD

^link to info pdf.

I think there may have been a different version for the GD a while back. Texas Coyote bought a set for his GD and doesn't think they quite line up with the current description.

I got the 4H021s, since I have a GE. I like that its only an inch drop in the rear and a little more in the front... I don't like the "slammed" look all that much. <--my opinion, not a fact!

There are no other Swift springs for the Fit... unless you count non-car specific coil over springs.

Goobers has it right...

I love my Swifts so much...they ride awesome, look great and have caused zero problems. What else can you ask for?

From researching and wandering around the forum, it seems Swift and Eibach springs seem like good choices. I like the drop of the Eibach springs, lowered just right, not slammed. But the Swift springs, I've heard nothing but good things. How is the ride on the Swifts as compared to stock?

Decisions, decisions..

To me...The Swift's ride is better than stock. Firmer yet not bouncy or harsh. Sporty and nice.

Are those what you have? Does anyone have pics of the Swift springs on their Fit?

Its weird... the Swifts drop the front more than the rears. The Eibachs drop the rears more than the fronts. Both brands actually drop the front the same amount. I wonder how they compare in that regard.

However, looking at the springs themselves... one thing Swifts tout, suspension travel (aka, stroke)... and the Eibachs look like they don't have the same amount as the Swifts. I wonder if the Eibachs have instructions to cut the bumpstops, since Swifts don't.

Don't forget about T1R either!

Type One Racing :: Suspension & Brakes :: Fit (GE8) :: T1R S-Coil Springs - Honda Fit 09+ (GE8)

We also have a thread about how the stance is before and after with the T1R. You can check it out here:
