bilstein shocks/coilovers
This matches my experiences with motorcycle shocks -- improved ride and better handling.
lol sorry, its t1r i spelt it wrong. they are an affilate of aj's racing, which has lots of experience with fits.
a full set of these adjustable shocks runs for about 400-500 bucks
A&J Racing
Type One Racing
From add on du-dads, to exhaust, suspension, turbos, strut bars, brakes, interior parts............
I recently put their damper set up and love it. It's the best thing going that I have tried. I tried two different coil over sets, plus other springs and shocks.
Yes; depending on price 1,300 is nutz, but say 125 a piece would work.......

Selex in Montreal use the bilstein stuff to make shocks and coilover.
<< SELEX SUSPENSION >>
They make 3 type of damper and a set of coilover for the Fit.
I've the price list if someone more info.

i am still waiting. they were going to do it, and for some odd reason they backed out. i guess for some reason they didnt think it was worth it at the time. i am pretty persistant with this company so i keep calling them once a month to make sure we can get shocks. i tried to tell them they would make BANK but they just see the fit as a family car instead of a nice track car.
I called the East Bilstein corporate location this afternoon. The jokers at Autozone and O'Reily's didn't know their hand from their face (even though they carry the entire bilstein product line). The guy I talked to at Bilstein's corporate said "we're a German company so the import car market isn't really our strong point". I didn't really understand this statement since obviously Germany isn't part of North America.
Anywho, when I said "do you make a shock for the Honda Fit", he immediately replied "Oh no no no." So I responded with, "well, do you make shocks for any Honda's say maybe the civic?". He said they do manufacture replacement shocks for the civic up to 2005. I told him I wasn't very familiar with the difference in chassis's between the fit and the civic and obviously he knew nothing either.
So, I guess the question is, would an 05 civic shock fit on a fit (no pun intended)?

With all the other applications on the market for the Fit, how many of these could they possibly sell to make a return on investment. A German company making something for a lightweight Jap car. Doesn't make since.
they do though.
i think they said they dont make struts.....
dont mark my words, i cant remember.
they make some for hondas but for some reason they wont make it for the fit. this company carries a lifetime warranty on their products. ive been in many cars with these shocks and they are the bomb!

As of what I can understand of the info in ''awptickes''s thread the B14 coilovers made for the GE would bolt to a GD but I'm not sure the spring rates would be appropriate since it's a different chassis. Bilstein does make replacement shocks for the GD 1.3 litre euro model Jazz but they're not geared towards performance but more OEM replacement.
Here you can choose the car and you'll end up with B4 shocks available for 2002 and up Jazz. Part number 008134. The rear ones are 105 Euros.

Bilstein Euros for US Fit
I just called Bilstein's US R&D people in California. These are the people that ask for your car to use in developing an appropriate set of shocks and springs. I spoke to Steve Brightbill, he was unaware of the B-14 Bilsteins that are now available in Europe and possibly Asia for the 2008+ Jazz (see my previous post). I told him I would just order them from a British source, but I wasn't confident they would be properly valved for the US car. The Bilstein parts manual shows the Jazz as having a 1.4 liter engine. I also mentioned the interest there is in the US. He said he would research the Euro set up. I'll call him back in mid January if nothing turns up on the US Bilstein web site.
B-14's Ordered!
I got a call back from the Bilstein importer with the part number for the Jazz shocks/springs. The drop is only 30 mm, but I scrape on bumps with the Eibach Pro Sports anyway. I had to have a shop I work with order through Keystone, the local (Atlanta)
Bilstein wholesale distributor. They couldn't find the part number in their book, so I had them call Larry Eckert in California at 800-537-1085, ext 5902. He knows the deal. It must have worked 'cause my guys have not called back to relay more problems. The Bilstein part number is F4-HE5-G585-H0 (that's H"zero"). The guy I originally spoke to at Biltstein said it would probably take a couple or three months as the shocks have been in VERY HIGH DEMAND from the factory.
