So Ive been lowered on Skunk2s for about 6 months now...I let my buddy do the rear springs when we did it. Ever since then though the right rear would make a rubbing noise at slow speeds and bumps., so I check it out and realize he put them on upside down!!! So just last week I went out and fixed them, ever since then they have been making clunking/pooping noises. I havnt driven the car more then a mile since then because I had to put new wheels on which i just finished up today and there still doing it. Please tell me the rear springs are just settling!!! I think I remember them doing it when we first installed them for a couple days, but im not 100% sure.

 

If they just switched them back then they are just setteling.

 

you have them installed with the tighter coils towards the top, right? sometimes the "skunk2" logo is printed upside down. do you have the rubber spring seats installed correctly?

 

yeah the tight coils were at the bottom at first....so i switched them. And yeah i made sure they were seated right.

 

turn the spring. i think it's rubbing the carrier wall.
