the pinch on the new hardware on this post is wrong!! The bolts that are provided by Progress are a 1.25 pinch, not 1.50. I ordered the 1.50 hardware and the nut would not fit. So, if you order the hardware or buy it from a hardware store you need a button head allen 10M x 30 1.25. If you want to use the nuts provided by Progress.

 

It's pitch, not pinch.

And I wouldn't say it's "wrong", since that is the thread pitch used in the old panducky hardware kit, which is what I was reproducing. I was unaware that the Progress ones are different, since I didn't reuse them (nylock nuts should be replaced every time they're removed). But for everyone starting off with the proper hardware, using the Progress nuts is an option - so good info, thanks!

 

I thought you were using the nuts from the progress kit. I tried the Panducky link and it didnt work. I ended up ordering from Fastenal.com. Now I am having a hard time finding the nuts that will work with my Fastenal bolts!!

 

Sadly Panducky went out of business a while ago.
Most of us that bought new hardwares bought new bolts and nuts.
Mine came from Acehardware.

 

Kyler, finally someone welds it on. However, welding a piece of angle iron to the stock bar would had done the same effect of having a roll bar as it would stiffen the entire rear lol

 

Have fun figuring out how much roll resistance you're adding by doing that . . . Bars are tuneable and/or swappable. Welds, not so much.

 

Button Socket Cap Screws may not cut in to the rubber seat but the Button Socket Cap Screws still push up on the rubber seat.

I'm not sure what your point is - they can push up on the rubber seat all they want, as long as it doesn't damage them or affect the spring seating.

 

Does the Button Socket Cap Screw push up on the spring and change the spring angle?

Nope, the spring is unaffected.

And for what it's worth, stock springs are unaffected by the original progress hardware as well - the difference is that the rubber mount becomes damaged.

 

FYI, ordered this bar for a GE and rec'd button-head bolts with it!

 

definitely keep the bar on there.

 

I just received my new progress sway bar for my 07 GD3 Fit. I was pleased to see that Progress is now including button socket screws and nylon nuts with the bar.

 

So Daemoine have you installed this replacement hardware yet? How would you describe the difference? Anything helps.
