stupid ? about installing sway bar on GE sport

stupid ? about installing sway bar on GE sport
when you guys are installing rear sway bars on you fit sport are you removing the factory 17mm rear sway bar? I've been looking at DIY threads and haven't seen anyone mentioning removing it. i wanted to install a 19mm sway bar but with the factory rear bar still installed i figured the cars balance would be off
