Calling out GD3 coilover owners....

I have Stance Gr+ coilovers and have noticed a creaking or binding noise in the front when the car is stopped or at slow speeds while turning the wheel "lock to lock". I'm on 15x7 rota slipstreams 205/50/15 falken azenis. 160mm spring in front I don't consider my car to be "slammed" by any means, sway bar is connected...

Question being: anyone on coilovers lower than any offered spring drop have a issue like this? TIA

Readjusting the preload meaning adjusting the end link. If your coilover comes with an adjustable endlink, then you should be able to adjust your preload.

no.. preload is the compression on the springs before the weight of the car is applied...

hence "pre" load...

i have D2's, i hear the same noise, i clean them every once in a while and it goes any. it could also be the rubber bushings on the top of the coilover

Thanks for the tips guys, I eventually got the car back to the manufacturer so they could take a look at it. Their determination was the rubber bushing above the top hat under the strut tower was not allowing the top hat to spin freely.... So there are multiple thrust washer on each front coilover between the spring and top hat.... The good news: The manufacturer said they have started developing a top hat with bearings in it to resolve this issue... Unfortunately they did not give me a release date for this top hat, so once in a while I have the binding but apparently it's nothing to be concerned about. I'll update once the new top hat arrives.
