Strange noise after installing coilovers [NEED HELP]

So I'm kind of freaking out because I just installed a set of form and function coilovers on my 07 honda fit sport and I keep hearing what sounds like a tire skidding when I turn or accelerate. It doesn't happen all the time though, also the inside of my tires are bald. I'm thinking I might need an alignment but I'm not sure, since this is my first time dealing with coilovers.

sounds like rubbing lol.. what size tires/wheels do you have and how low did you go?

you probably need a fender roll/pull that should fix it

how were the insides of the tires before you installed the coilovers? how long have they been on?

inner wear is usually due to excessive toe, I believe. I would get an alignment done.

They had a decent amount of tread on them, I've had them on since January of this year.

yup so even if its not the source of the noise, time for an alignment!

if it is a tire type squeal similar to that of hard cornering, burnouts and short stops, then thats likely the source of the noise too.

if it were rubbing it would be more of a scratchy noise, and you would hear it very well in the cabin (kind of like how you do hitting a big puddle, or kicking up gravel). plus the outsides of your tires would be getting scuffed up as well, either the outer corners or the sidewalls.

squeal similar to a short stop, if the noise is still there after the alignment where should I look next?

You should always get an alignment directly after any suspension geometry change. You probably have excessive toe out since you lowered the car.

is it coming from the same spot every time?

i suppose rubbing would be the next logical step. that or the hardware in the strut top.

Did you happen to get the before and after spec printout of your alignment?

Makes me wonder how far your toe was off.
