IMO the coils make the car ride better on "normal" road surfaces, it's just not as good over potholes or huge bumps.

In my car VS my mom's Lexus IS350... I think I take the Fit. It's more Firm, not jarring and more controlled. And I feel that the spring and shock are matched well (remember though I have the 6k linear rate rear spring)

LOL. These things are garbage. Setting dampening to its stiffest, it still wasn't nowhere near stiff enough. I asked them about a stiffer spring and I got a answer of "We don't have any" so I bought elsewhere. I'm at that 170hp mark, these POS's will compress too much and rub while I accelerate. When I swap the springs tomorrow I am going to check to see if the struts are fucked up as well. The ride on the street I have experienced is horrible. Im going to re adjust preload and dampening, and need to find a new solution for my swaybar endlinks, since my adjustable ones dont fit without hitting the axle. All in all, these coilovers were the worst mod I have done to my car.

At the end of the day these are just garbage.I have been tracking this car for years now and know how the car should feel, rotate, react etc. And it definitely does not do anything correct with these on. I can barely drive in a straight line. My beater Fit with stock struts and Voughtland springs rode, and performed better than these things.

I can understand that, to this day I think the most comfortable car I've driven was my EF with 16k/14k spring rates (I'm sure passengers disagreed with that).

It was no M3 though haha

@Chris, it almost seems like they sent you blown ones? That doesn't make any sense, lots of people love them...although I imagine not too many of those people have owned decent coilovers in the past, as you or I have.

fyi in the last video I had a professional track instructor who handles a 400+whp WRX and a professional stunt car driver who was helping his friend set up a race E36 M3 ride in my car for a few laps and both praised it's performance on the track and how effortlessly my car seems to handle and drive. Keep in mind this is on 8k F 6k R springrates and my dampers were lower than halfway stiffness... Stiff isn't always good

I'm just standing up for it b/c I have had a great experience and great time driving with my coils and for the price and even taking that out of the picture, I am pretty damn happy with my purchase. I don't want one bad review to make people considering them run away if it's uncalled for

My wheel setup shouldnt matter. If these coilovers were doing their jobs it wouldnt rub. Im running 15x8 with 225/45/15 Hankook RS3. A few people reccomended the coilovers... I have owned quite a few buddyclub stuff in the past and the product has always been good. This was my first buddy club coilover product. I can understand what you guys are saying that they are street coilovers... but the fact that I can barely drive my car on the street with them now is what makes me NULL out what you guys are saying. The struts dont feel blown, but they dont feel like they are increasing or decreasing dampening. I wish Buddy Club's customer service was better, but I have officially added them to my black list of Manufacturers/Shops/Vendors.

The comment about "doing homework" and "custom rates" is also Null. The coilovers should have at least been able to preform to an extent, which right now they are not doing.

It's not like I am a noob at tuning cars or tracking... Have been doing it for 10+ years, with HOURS and HOURS of track time. It's perfectly normal to defend a mod that you have on your car that I am bashing. But in the end I have a product on my car that can't even preform its basic duty.

And I dont want a good review to sucker someone into buying these... It goes both ways.

Like I said... I have owned plenty of BC stuff in the Past and always loved the product. The combination of these coilovers and how Buddy Club chose to handle the situation or help when i called them was well below Sub Par. If buddy club had said "try checking this" "send me pictures of this" or "Bring the car down so we can check it out" would have been great, and this post may not have existed.

Well to be fair.... they did ask me to send pics... I did. Then they stopped responding to me. Even Texting.

Stiff rates won't fix everything.

If the damper is not valved to handle the stiffer rates, the suspension will still feel like junk.

like i said.... even if I were not tracking the car... These are still garbage on the street. If I didnt need a new motor for my truck, I would buy something else and get rid of these POS's right now.

Chris we should meet up so I can see how your suspension feels... I honestly have no complaints on my ride at all. I have the front preload set so that the spring is snug and can move around if u twist with a little force

From what he said, your main concern what you expressed to him was that the car had rubbing issues after installing the coils... So pretty much you don't like it because there is too much travel?

Rubbing was one of the issues. Mind you this was after I installed them. Then re- adjusted them because of the rubbing. The coilovers were also not adjusting properly, which I explained to him as well. He requested pictures. Sent them and communication stopped. Also have the issue of my end links not working with these.
