You guys should try to stop being so paranoid. Cars have a lot of moving parts. They make sounds. It doesn't always mean something is wrong.

Same problem

My car has the exact same problem. I have a Honda Jazz and it's making a similar strange noise. It's ok for the first 20 minutes of urban driving but after a while it starts to make a ticking/hard noise/clunking only when I am braking and towards the end of braking. Sometimes worse when i am turning left rather than right when braking around a corner.
If I am on a motorway and dont brake for a while it doesnt make the sound.
Also after I have just got into my car and taken the handbrake off and started to pull away there is a single loud clunk and then nothing for about 15 minutes. No noises when I am travelling fast. Been to three different garages, tried changing my break pads with no luck. I was wondering if it could be the CV joint or the bearing? Any ideas?
