Question Need Help Lowering my FIT!

I just bought my 2008 Honda Fit Sport last month after that my friend sold me his Drag DR16 15x7 +40 offset for $150 and im still using my stock 195/55/r15 tires. I am planning to buy H&R Sport Springs to lower my fit. My question is.. Will i get rub if i lowered my Fit and what would be the recommended tire size so i dont get rubing issues?

This my first car and im no mechanic i am just an ordinary who loves his FIT!

I just lowered my 08 fit on h&rs on 15x6.5 40mm offset konigs with 205/50/15 on them. Haven't had any rubbing issues my rear arches where already mildly rolled though.
Any pics of the rims with the 195s on them. need new tires and thinking of going that size.

At 40mm offset the wheels are touch and go but 195/55x15 tires have a good chance. Do limit your drop to an inch to 0ne and a quarter. More than that will yield potential rubbing issues.
And while rolled fenders are a way to avoid rubbing do note that come trade-in time those modications will severely affect your trade-in value.
BTW did you check those wheels to see if the hub bore and caliper clearance are OK?

With a +40 ET you may have some rubbing. Run some chamber to avoid the rub. Always it depends on the spring rate. Since you are uses lowering springs your spring rate is going to be on the softer side.

Thank you for reply,
What would be the best lowering spring for my current set up??
I am planning to change my tires to 205/50/15 but not so soon...

The hub bore and caliper clearance are perfect!!!
Would you recommend me a lowering spring for my set up without rubbing.
I am also planing to get 205/50/15 tires but not so soon..

I've been on 205/50R15 for a long time. I'm on coil overs so I couldn't recommend anything with springs. My wheel offset is +42 ET. I really don't much rub to be honest but I also run a lot of camber -3*. The car is used for autoX.

We here only do in wheels with minimum 42mm offset with tires 195 section, going wider tires, max 205, requires greater offset, max 1.5" drop and using shorter springs means stiffer spring rate, not less. All of the current suppliers we have installed that meet those specs. Max width wheels 6 to 7' does very well. Again hub bore and caliper clearance must be OK.
Good luck.

With a 205 tire i'd go 7" wheel. Just roll the fenders if you want and it won't be an issue. Again with some camber you can control the rub as well.

Mods to bodywork and camber will make trade-in value less, if the dealer will take it at all.
