This is my first post on here and i felt it would be the best place to ask for a bit of advice on something I'm having some issues with.
So, I'm in the UK and I have a 2008 Fit/Jazz, First Gen, GE3. I bought this car to be my daily driver but I still want it to be a bit special and look cool 😎
Anyway the reason I'm here is for some offset advice and opinions.
Soon I will be putting new wheels and tyres on the car. They will be 16x7 and the tyres 205/45/16.
The thing is, these wheels come in a +25 and +40 offset, and I'm not sure what to go for.
The car has been lowered 30mm, or around 1.2 inches, on Eibach Pro lowering springs and has had no wheel arch work done. I don't want have to do any arch work either haha.
I like the idea of them being fairly flush to the fender/wheel arch and have that aggressive look, but as it is going to be a daily driver, is the +25 offset going to be too much, with rubbing and other issues. I'm already going to be sacrificing some comfort by having a smaller tyre wall on the tyres so if I can prevent other issues that would be great.
Personally I think the +40 offset is going to be the way to go but if the +25 can work then I'd probably go for that.
What do you guys think?

I can't offer much real-world experience, but several years ago I did buy an old set of 14-inch late-1990s Honda Civic alloy rims to use as snow wheels for my 2010 Fit Sport. I used the K.I.S.S. method to see if they would fit (both over the brake caliper and properly in the wheel well); I removed one of my front wheels and mounted the Civic wheel on the car so that I could see for myself. Is that possible for you?

You can compare your current setup with different proposed setups and see a visual representation of how the tire will move around in space. You can then take your real-world knowledge of how your current setup fits inside the wheel well and determine if the new setup will fit like you want it to. It won't be as good as physically mounting the new wheel and tire on your car, but it's close.
