weight? Are you gonna track the car at all or just something to dress up the car for cruising around town?

If it's for the latter then yeah it could work.

Well I found it each rim weighs 19lbs... IS this too much? I'm just driving to cruise... I'm not going to auto x or drag race or such..... I dont want it to be THAT heavy that might hinder my miles per gallon.....

19 pounds is not technically that heavy for a Fit. Stock rims run about 18 to 20 pounds for the 15 and 16" rims.

16" rims that are light are in the sub 12 pound range but they are expensive.

For street use you are probably OK. Gas mileage will probably be OK but nothing great.

Heavy wheels usually means slower to accelerate and slower to stop, less responsive.

Usually 16" rims for the FIT means 205/45-16 tires. 45 series tires are stiffer and not as comfortable for street use. If you lower your FIT you'll get a harsher ride as well.

After looking at all the pics and rim combonations...I believe the starting point for sexiness in this style of car or any other is 16" minimum. The tire to wheel ratio is important for that look and when lowered it is the shizzle.

This whale on roller skates look for 15" rims on a summer tire does not do the car justice. Reminds me of Suzuki Aero proportions. Okay that is an extreme example.

As for comfort...yes there will be extra feedback from this kind of car with every rim size you go up and with aftermarket drop springs; but hey,This is no Lexus to begin with.

Just another opinion.

Don't you mean starting point slowness!

If there is any possibility that you will in the future track/strip the car at all stick with 15s.

#1

#2

#3

#3 is the most expensive at $490 shipped
#2 $468 shipped
#1 $399 shipped

I dont plan on any type of racing. Just straight cruising. City/hwy driving.
Obviously #3 is the lightest, then #1 & #2 are about the same. around 18-19lbs. This will be on a Vivid Blue Fit Sport. There's something about the glossy black that i don't like. I guess to me it looks cheap, plastic like. But im not sure b/c i've never seen it on a car let alone seen it in person.
Thanks in advance for your opinions/.

In my opinion, the VBP is too dark of a color to have black wheels. I like silver with that blue. Or, since these are just cruizin' wheels, chrome. Maybe someone would be nice enough to photochop for you. Or goto TireRack.com and find a similar set to see what they look like. I think you should find a style you like and then get them painted the same as the car. I bet you could get them done for under a Benjamin. Then you would have a cruizin' machine.

This is the wheel you should be using, Kosei K1 TS. Can be had cheap at Tire Rack and is very light in either 15" or 17". (never see any cone marks )

Sounds like your into the look.
Big rims and lowered cars are like a woman that wears high heels.
May not be too comfortable but they sure are sexy as hell.

Let's not forget that this 1.5L 109Hp car to began with, so if your not ultra hardcore with track days in the future...I think you might as well go for the boy racer show-only baller look.

"Throw some 16" D's on' em." And don't forget to add that heavy thunderous sub in your hatch.

Can't deside on wheel color. Need help!

I've played around in Photoshop a little but can't deside on wich color fits my car best. Any suggestions? Maybe Bronze? Or gloss black with a crome lip?

First how it looks today with the black steel wheels on the winter tires and silver colored hubcaps in plastic. But I'm getting alu wheels for my summer tires in May when it is time to change and the snow/ice is gone.

Here are some exampel pictures:
I know the picture is not perfect, but they are just for color comparison.
