Torque Wrench

Got my winter wheels over the weekend and I am just looking for a decent torque wrench to change my tires in the coming month.

Is this a good one? Will this be suitable for using on the factory lug nuts? Will I need an extension of some kind to get to the lug nuts?

3/8"-drive torque wrench, with 25 - 250" lb. torque setting.

Hey scott, you will need at least a 1/2" torque wrench. What is rated is 25-250 INCH pounds. You will have to divide that number by 12 to get it into FOOT-pounds. I usually torque mine to 90ft-lb, a little more than suggested, but I rather have it too tight than too loose.

Anyway, crappy tire has the 1/2" on sale time to time, if anything, just go to Princess Auto for their torque wrench.

Sorry.. gotta go catch the bus.. will write more later!

Good advice from LWF- and a short (2-4") extension will help to prevent accidental contact of the wrench handle with your fenders.
