16x8 38et

Hey everyone! I don't have a Fit "yet". But hopefully I will trade in my recent car for one. Right now I am trying to gain knowledge of the car. I will be upgrading the rims and tires like as soon as I get it. Heres the specs...

Enkei RP-F1 (silver)
16x8
et38
4x100

Will these fit? Will I have to roll the fenders? I would like to stretch a 195 or 205 series tire of these as well.

im not that well educated on what fits the FIT, but that setup is really pushing it. the offest is a little low, and the width is very wide. alos, a 195 tire will look like ass on a 8" wide rim. you should have a minimum of a 215 tire with a 8" wide rim.

Well, IMO saying it will look like ass is subjective. I am looking to do an aggressive fitment while stretching the tires and negative camber. I'm also looking to slam it on coilovers as well.

Edgeracing has a 16x8 et38 on their site.

lol, didnt mean to sound like an asshole.

but my last car had 215 tires on a 7.5" wide rim, and i could definatly tell they were streched more than the OEM 7" rim the tires were originally mounted on.

a 8" rim will strech a 215 tire a significant amount...a 205 tire will probably barely be able to be mounted on an 8" rim. and a 195...i wouldnt even consider it.

a 225 width tire is what is actually mean to be mounted on a 8" wide rim.

a 215/45 will fit good but still be streched on a 8" rim.

if you really want to push it, you could try for a 215/40.

dont know much about rolled fenders. i have only had my car for a few days, lol. im not sure how much room the FIT gains from rolling them.

There seems to be quite a bit of space between the stock wheel and the inner part of the fender. I'm gonna try a 215/40/16 possibly. Still want to look around and see whats feesable/looks for what I am going for.

Dude 8 wide would really aggresive and sick! Make it happen man, who cares if nobody's done it. It will look insane.
But rubbing would be there no doubt...Like chris said, negative camber.

Also remember if he does too much negative camber with a 8in wide wheel rubbing could occur on the INSIDE of the fender wells. Not to mention the wheels have a somewhat high offset already so they wont be pushed out that much to clear the width of the already wide wheel.

Yes the wheels are going to rub. Rolling the fenders will help but with an 8in wide wheel rubbing is a givin. One of the main reasons why itll rub so much is that its a 16in wheel. If wide 15's rub wide 16's are damn sure to rub.

When I was running my Enkeis the front rubbing didnt bother me that much. The rears is what was loud. with 16x8's those tires are going to rub like mad on those bumper supports. (sides of the bumper clip onto)
Mine are broken because I rubbed so much. Theyre all loose. Hahaha!

Id love to see it done. My next set of wheels are going to be 16in. Figured Id try them out since Ive done a few 15's and a set of 14's.
Still want them 13's too!!!

fit? why not? my rear is exactly the same, 16x8 38+, 195/50, a little stretch, edge of the rim exposed on both sides lol, I stretch it so that it helps with the clearance, I only rolled my top half of the fender, you need to shaved of the metal and bumper mounting and move it somewhere else

the stretch will depends on the tyre brand, mine is continentalsp2.

I'm not in favor of the fender work you'll likely have to do. Nor the narrow little tires. I'd go with 205/45x16 tires on 42 to 44 mm offset wheels. And if you really want aggressive you should see our 205/40x17's on 42 offset wheels.

Thats not aggressive.... Aggression on cars is done with offset and tire size (width) IMO, no the size of the rim.

16x8's on the Fit with slightly stretched tires would be sick.
Just like mimpi's car.

Just wish he'd post better pics.
