Rolling Fender
Rolling Fender
How and/or where did you guys get your fenders rolled? Looking to get my fenders rolled due to rubbing. I have looked online and see some places that rent their fender rollers but require a 200+ deposit >.>...I could go to a shop and have someone do it but i'm sure they'll charge me a lot. Haven't really looked yet but i'm just assuming things atm. I did see a post on some other forums about making my own fender roller but that might still be costly. Could also do the bat method as well.
You can get the fenders rolled with a rubber mallet, a heatgun, and some patience, but I would recomend a professional fender rolling tool. Are any of your friends looking to upgrade wheels? If 4 of you bought one together it's not too bad.
im to broke to rent one of those thingys or to pay someone.
so i went to my tool box, grabbed the die hard grinder, cut it all off. then i smoothed all the metal and put anti rust paint( black). since i have that door protector and fender protector stip along my car you cant even notice it anyways.
and i did this all for FREE!

well i got impatient and was looking at my fender decided to see how hard the metal tabs were...they were actually quite easy to bend. So i bent the 2 metal tab that my tires were supposedly rubbing on and i think i got rid of the rubbing out in the front
I own a Eastwood Fender Roller and can ship it out if you guys for a few bucks if you want to get together for some rolling. $75-100 per corner is insanity. I rolled all 4 fenders on my s2000 in 45 minutes.
That's a generous offer. I've looked at that in their catalog a few times. I might order one myself. Have you been happy with it?
It works great but for $275, you need to find some buddies to pitch in to help offset the cost.
I never mind investing in tools.I'm surprised more people aren't jumping on your offer...to those who don't know what he has...Eastwood Fender Roller Tool
This is the way body shops do it and charge a fortune.

After I get my Fit and roll the fenders (this weekend), I will post up my good idea of getting the roller to a bunch of FitFreakers for only a few dollars each.
I'm so glad this thread is around. I bought 205's with the my new rims and it'll rub from time to time when I hit a bump.
I've been debating the baseball bat method myself. I've got a pal who works a bodyshop who wouldn't mind doing it, except that there's no guarantees - so in effect, I might as well do it myself since in theory I'd be more careful..
I've got a heat gun, just now I'm trying to figure out what's a better bet: baseball bat or rubber mallet?
What is the door/fender protector? I noticed the plastic on the inside of the front wheelwells, although my rear fender doesn't have anything.

I forsee this happening in my near future.
