alloys sizes

hi all
i need some advice,i'm abit of novice when it comes to cars, i'm buying a silver honda jazz 2003 1.4s this week and i'm after some compatible alloys for it. I just want to know if 17" alloys will fit straight on the jazz or are they to large and i need to stick to 15"? thanks

17's will Fit(depending on how low you drop). Just make sure you get something with a high offset to avoid rubbing.

yes if you go 17's try getting a 45 offset. that way it wont rubb as much...if it does rubb.

Again:
If you use 205/40x17 tires on 17x7/42+ wheels you will be fine unless you lower. Then go 45 mm offset.

YOU HAVE TO LOWER your car when on 17's.

unless you want to be donk...or look like you have a 4x4.

What about using 17x7 rims with 215/40-17 tires?
Will that work or rub with +45mm offset?

I have 205/40x17's on 17x7 -42 offset Enkei wheels. No rubbing. If I lowered it I expect it to rub, need -45 mm for that. The 205/40x17 tires are same diameter as stock 195/55x15's so speedo and odo are good. Others like the way it looks so I guess its OK.
