I have the H4S and so far they are really nice. Only have about 800 miles on them so far, but have been great in wet and dry.

your thoughts on why kenchan? Just wondering, as if i go with a performance all season tire, these were at the top of the list. (bridgestone g009's are to damn expensive!)

from my experience the ziex912's are by far no 'all season' tires from
the aspect of its weak performance (traction) under 40F temps.

The Avids on the other hand have, from my own experience on
several different cars in the past, provided substantially better grip
throughout the cold season. it is no snow tire, but it can still grip
fairly well in sub freezing temps.

that is where the biggest difference is. falken concentrated too much
on the wear of the 912's....probably after getting complaints of their
earlier gen 512's. 912's compound is too hard, i think..and the tread
pattern is not really 'great" only average as far as hydroplaning resistance.

912's work well above 40F. ive been happy the last few months cause
temps in IL have been warm. but i will not be buying these tires again.

hope this answers your question.

thanks man, here in NC, we do get below 40f consistently throughout winter, so this is great info for me. 'preciate it!

A little on the stiff side, but very responsive and great in most conditions!
