On 2nd gen Fits, if the TPMS reads low, VSA defeat is disabled. In other words, VSA is 100% on.

Our '09 Fit Sport is great, but that TPMS indicator has never gone off. The car is only a few days old. Does the dealer have to reset this?

Check the tire pressure first. Make sure they are all 32 PSI. It may take a little while for the light to go out, there is a minimum distance or speed necessary to get the lights cleared. I forget if it is miles or speed but the number 23 comes to mind. Other TPMS threads have more info.

Dealers leave the tire pressure low sometimes to give a cushy ride on test drives.

Thanks for the advice. I just checked all 4 tires, and they were all at 40 PSI. I'll wait until I drive it around for a day or so to see if the computer recalibrates the data. I did think that my original ride was a bit harsh. I now also question WTF is going on with the dealership in terms of the final out-the-door check of its cars. Luckily, I only had 3 miles on my odometer; therefore, somebody didn't have enough time to screw anything else up....

I just did this in my 2009 base. It was almost the same procedure. Probably the hardest part was positioning the tape properly, heh.

But, to ease my troubled mind, I now keep a gauge in the car (As I do in my civic):

Which light is on? the one that is the exclamation point inside a tire, or the letters TPMS?

Have you tried taking it back to walmart and speaking with a manager?

1. Check your tire pressure in all tires. Walmart and the dealer may have left it low.

2. You have to drive the car a minimum of 23 miles IIRC for the light to go out once everything is reset.

3. Walmart may have clobbered one of the sensors, did the dealer check that all sensors were operating? If one is broke, get Walmart to fix.

4. Find a new dealer.

Did you check the spare? Ran into that with an 07 Rav4. All 4 tires were perfect but the spare was low.

Yea sorry guys I very rarely frequent this site anymore. This site i had it on has sense been dead for awhile. All you do it remove the cluster, remove the clear lens of the cluster, it just has some push tabs to release, then put some e-tape over the square for the TPMS light. Pretty basic

Once you have the cluster out of the dash you can remove the clear plastic piece. With that out of the way you will find that the gauge faces are just a thin plastic overlay that isn't glued down. Just lift up on the gauge faces enough to get a piece of electrical tape over the LED for the TPMS indicator and you are set. Just be careful how large a piece of tape you use, I covered up my right turn signal by accident and had to undo the whole thing to fix that.
