fit base tires suck

i have the 2008 fit base with 14" dunlaps, i am constantly getting and pluging flats (2 times it was a sharp stone ) 2 screws and a pinch flat (yes i hit the curb ). i only have 2.6 k miles on the car so i just want to know what you guys would suggest for a tire up grade .....i do want to be able to go as high as i can on the tire pressure and maintain good ride quality and of course they need to be tougher than the stocker tires.

this is my daily driver so pimp rims and tires are not an option(i have another money pit for that )

Aw, they don't suck; they're just unfortunate. =]

Also, you're going to have to find a happy medium as far as ride quality and tire pressure go. The higher the pressure, the stiffer the tire. Same goes for tires with stiffer sidewalls. I had Michelin's on my last car and they were great. Kinda pricey, though. :[

haha bad luck eh? maybe you should get a road hazard warranty for whatever tires you get next. i'd suggest michelins too if you want to keep the car strictly commuter, but yes they cost a bit more.

Falken 512 tires are good all around choice from Discounttiredirect.com for about $50 including shipping.

I just recently changed out my tires and wheels. I was wondering how much I should sell the stock base wheels for? All 4 tires/wheels.

I sold my set of 14" steelies, TPMS and lug nuts included, for $150 bucks (no shipping) to another fitfreaker.

I upgraded the steelies on my Base 08 with the sport alloys from another fitfreaker's 15" alloys. I got almost new alloys for a lot cheaper than paying for new rims/tires and like the looks. My fit isn't pimped and I'm not a modder, your tastes may vary.
