All season tire recommendations please!

All season tire recommendations please!
I'm looking for a good pair of "all season" tires that will perform well in ice and some snow. The stock Dunlops on my wife's 2008 Fit have nearly killed us on multiple occassions the last two winters.
We're in MO so we don't get a lot of snow, usually just a few inches at a time. But typically we get a nice coating of ice under it.
Now that the dunlops have worn bald we're looking to replace them with something that will work better in these conditions and hopefully be longer lasting. (The Dunlops are bald, literally, after just 30k miles.)
I'been looking at reviews on Tire Rack And Cons reports and such, all of which have people saying "best ever" and "worst ever" for all the same tires?!
So I don't need any links to further reviews.
I would like your real world feedback on what all season tires you have and how they have performed for you on this car.
I know the best route would be to go w/ a 2nd set of winter specific tires but she has opted not to do that.
So all I only need responses from those with "All Season" tires please.
Thanks
