Question about the wheel locking nuts.

Since I've never had any on my other cars, I was curious about them. If I order from my dealership, can i install them myself, or do they have to install them for you? I'm not much of a car savvy person, so bear with me . Oh and does anyone have pictures of what they would look like? Thanks.

Only a couple more days till my lil Fit comes in! BOM for the win.

Check the Honda Canada website, looking at Accessories for the Fit; the dealership will probably install them if you're getting a Fit Sport. If you're getting aftermarket wheels, that dealer can install them; you could do it, but it takes awhile to do. Good luck, and welcome to the FitFreaks!

You'll remove 1 lug nut from each wheel and replace it with 1 wheel lock. Very simple. You don't even need to raise the car off the ground.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get lug nuts with locks that will fit our OEM Sport 15" alloys in colours? I'm hoping for blue in particular. Thanks!

if you get OEM lock nuts, make sure you get the CRV / small cone type.. the normal ones they sell stick out too much

That would explain why mine stick out so much! The dealer installed them prior to pickup and I noticed that they're way out there! Rats!

I ordered Honda OEM part number 08W42-SCV-100 for the alloy wheels. Will those stick out? That's the OEM lock SKU for the 2008 Fit Sport. It's also the same SKU for the CR-V.

meh i wouldnt spend my money on the honda locks. but to each of their own.

spend lots of money on locks. the more it cost, more in likely the lesser chance the may have the locks on hand(they as in the thieves)
