It looks like they'd be OK for autoX by this review, but I plan on some double duty race course as well. If they do indeed have these heat issues, it looks like they're out, as i'm sure they'll overheat even faster in the Fit (in the front anyway) than the S2K

It seems RS3 in that size is hard to find and people are having a tough time keeping them stocked in any size... I know it's a good tire. I may end up going with the Toyo R1R as it's reasonably affordable.

 

Sounds like your running 16's?

Those tires are much more common than my odd sized 15's lol

Matt @ Raceline keeps allllll kinds of stuff in stock, and honestly I have nothing but good things to say about my RS3's

 

honestly they hold up pretty freaken well i was surprise they react fast only down fall wet road it sucks and there kinda loud probably because tires sidewalls are stiff!! l the side wall hold they dnt wrinkle overal there okay but i wont buy again tho Also i have yet to run them during the day i run at night so i cant really tell u day time running sry at night there GREEAT i cant really compare to star Specs i only ownd dz101s and the eagle gt owns my review on dz101 there ok but i felt they broke losse alot after running them 10min straight when they got to hot

Didn't you say they were all seasons? That suggests you aren't running the RSR.

 

Yes I will be running 16s if only to keep the overall diameter as close to stock as possible with shorter sidewalls. I could run 195/55/15 Star Specs or something like that but i'd prefer to be able to go from 205 to 215 or 225 later on and keep shorter sidewalls. I think the gearing in 2 and 3 would be good as it is for autocross and I don't want to shorten it any with undersized wheels. Also I think it'll be better that way for road course.

How much did the RS3's run you for 4? Just trying to get a general idea, I know prices may vary.

Honestly I got a steal, Americas/Discount Tire does a yearly thing with a $50-100 rebate card when you buy 4 tires. I was able to combine that with an additional $50 rebate from Hankook so I stole them

Right now 205 55 16 RS3's on tire rack are $520 before tax or shipping. I say start there and see if you can get anyone to beat it! The phone is your friend, and I should have paid extra to have mine heat cycled

 

Haha I ran into a similar thing with Falken 615s a couple years ago, got a set of 4 195/60/14 for about $200 with combined rebates, I almost felt bad. I will keep an eye out for the sales.

ive drove on RSR with my friends rx7 2nd gen THere Great till u hit a lil puddle My Eagle GT GOod YEar r all season they calim but there not they slip in water but dry weather they grip like a MOFO my stocks did better in water lol haha

 

but next tires i wanna try r Potenza RE760 Sport

 

I loved the 750s as a spirited daily tire when I had it on my former car. Bro ran 760s and enjoyed it as well on his daily wheels.

Bridgestones are wonderful, I simply love my RE11s and the review the s2k guy made is pretty dead on.

 

yeah 760 i cant wait to get them i wanna sell my eagle gt if anyone intrested there only like 2 months old 3k on them

 

I've got a set of 205/50/15's, I rate them very highly. Can't go back to regular road tyres. I do use them daily, wet performance isn't the greatest but its really not THAT bad...

Done several trackday and skidpan events with them, holding up pretty well in terms of tread wear. Yes they do perform best once warmed up, did a track day in Winter (see a mild Autumn day in North America) and I got a pretty decent slide going on the 1st out lap.

Bang for buck? Definitely!

Looks like these will be road course only for me. Guess i'll end up with Azenis again, they were well rounded and the 4th lap greasyness isn't that terrible unless you're competing, which I am not. Interested in seeing how much of that was fixed with the K version.

 

I had these on my 08 STI a couple of years ago. Absolutely fantastic in the dry - very quiet, incredible grip; easily the stickiest tires I've ever driven. I didn't find them to be all that bad in the rain, but the Hankook Ventus V12's are better.
